Thank you for your interest in the Herbert Haynes, Sr. Academic Scholarship. This Scholarship was established to honor my father Herbert Haynes, Sr. My father was a honorable man. He always believed in helping others.
He believed that education was the key to success and the key to your future. He believed everyone deserved an opportunity to gain an education especially the disabled community.
We are striving to offer scholarships to special needs youths that seek to gain a higher education.
It is directly geared toward empowering our special needs community.*
The Student / Applicant must be receiving services from State of New Jersey (DDD) The Division of Developmental Disabilities* and/or Social Security Disability in the State of New Jersey to receive
The Herbert Haynes, Sr. Scholarship ( proof of eligibility is required ).
* Apply for DDD under 18 years old
**Special notice for young adults ages 18 to 21
Applications on behalf of individuals who have turned 18 years old or older must be submitted to the Department of Human Services (DHS) Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD). Apply for DDD over 18 years old
